The Rapid City Kennel Club, Inc. The Rapid City Kennel Club, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of purebred dogs that serves the western South Dakota area.  The RCKC is an AKC licensed Club.

Plan To Attend Our Events

The RCKC hosts 4 annual all-breed dog shows. The Club also holds an annual Responsible Dog Ownership Day.  Workshops & seminars on interesting topics such as obedience, pet care, and
canine first aide are offered as well.

Our Purpose
To protect and advance all purebred dogs, encourage sportsmanlike competition at AKC sanctioned dog events, and provide educational activities and exhibitions concerning dog ownership, care, training and recreation.

Club History
The RCKC held its first show outside of Sioux Park. There were 250 entries that year, which thrilled and motivated us for upcoming events. The following year we moved to the old auditorium where the Dahl Fine Arts Center is now located.  Today, our shows are held in the Rushmore Plaza Arena (The Monument). In 2009, we had 1,063 dogs entered in our 90th, 91st, 92nd, & 93rd all breed shows.  Currently, RCKC is comprised of approximately 80 members.
